A psychiatrist tells short stories about some of his patients throughout this chapter. In the beginning of the chapter he talks to us about how one of his patients told him that he is married, and has been having an affair with another woman. The psychiatrist wishes he didn't have a rule, where he wasn't aloud to tell his patients family members or other people about what he his patients tell him.
